Alexandria Mayor Euille Sees Obama's Manufacturing Plan as Boon for Metro Region

Mayor Bill Euille says Obama's jobs plan will aid Northern Virginia

President Obama welcomed Alexandria Mayor Bill Euille on Tuesday during his speech at Northern Virginia Community College that unveiled a strategy for creating more manufacturing jobs.

Euille told Patch after the president's speech held in the school's Engineering Building that the announcement "will help Alexandria grow as part of the Northern Virginia region."

He noted that the city itself doesn't have a lot of manufacturing industry presence but it does have a jobs training program to help workers get jobs in the automotive industry.
