City of Alexandria pools will have a new admittance policy effective with the opening of the 2012 outdoor pool season.
All children 12 years of age and younger must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a paying adult of at least 18 years of age.
Children under age six must be accompanied by a paying adult 18 years or older who is in proper bathing attire at all times, and the child must be within arm’s length of the adult when in the pool.
City pools generally open around May 26 with reduced hours which are extended later in the summer.
