Cummings Warehouse Has New Tenant

The Cummings Warehouse has a summer lessee.

The Cummings Warehouse has a new tenant—a tenant returning home to roost for the summer.

The Art League, which was required to vacate its Duke Street Annex while its owners vetted a tentative proposal to place a hotel there, is returning.

"The Art League is thrilled to announce that they will occupy their former Duke Street Annex space from June-August 2013, and run adult summer classes and workshops in the waterfront facility," said League Executive Director Suzanne Bethel. "The use of the Duke Street space will enable The Art League to offer expanded children’s programming at their Madison Annex throughout the summer."

She said when the Art League was presented with the opportunity to activate the Duke Street Annex at an attractive rate for the summer, it jumped on the chance to expand programming in summer 2013.

"The Art League and Cummings Investment Associates have developed an agreement for the League's temporary re-occupancy of the currently dormant space," she said.
