John Adams Elementary PTA to Hold Meeting Regarding Teacher Arrested for Child Pornography

Law enforcement, school administrators will be available to discuss issues surrounding arrest of fourth-grade teacher

Alexandria's John Adams Elementary will hold a Monday meeting to address concerns surrounding last week's arrest of a dual-language fourth-grade teacher for possession of child pornography.

"John Adams Elementary School's PTA will hold an informational meeting on Monday, April 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the school. Parents are invited to participate in a discussion with school administrators, law enforcement, and PTA officers on how to help students understand and cope with the recent events alleging misconduct of a teacher. Parents of former John Adams students in the dual language program are also invited to attend, " the announcement said.

The teacher, Justin Coleman, was arrested on Thursday. John Adams Principal  Gene May and Alexandria City Public Schools Superintendent Morton Sherman jointly signed a letter that went home to parents Thursday afternoon.
