Whiz Kids: Celebrating Alexandria's Youth

We all know a kid, group, troop worthy of recognition. Submit a nomination today!

Do you know a kid, group or troop that deserves to be celebrated?

Sure, we all do! Are you the:

  • Mom of a child who earned a badge, got a part in a play, or won a spelling bee?
  • Dad of a child who scored a goal, completed a challenging project, or helped out at home in a big way?
  • Friend of a student who went against the grain, achieved a personal goal, or was an exceptional friend when you really needed it?
  • Sibling of a child who shares their clothes, toys and gear, understands when no one else does, or always seems to be there when needed?
  • Neighbor of a child who helped shovel during the snow, helped look for a lost pet, or cleaned up litter in the neighborhood?
  • Teacher of a student who overcame a challenge, improved their grades, made a meaningful contribution to your class?
  • Principal with a student or group of students who raised money for a good cause, organized a group effort, started a new club?
  • Troop leader who helped facilitate a group volunteer project, fundraiser, or visit to a nursing home?
  • Coach whose team won an important game, earned an award, or had a team member achieve their personal best?
  • Community member who helped a child earn money in a creative way, or contribute to a cause or community effort?

We all know kids, groups and troops who do meaningful and impactful things everyday. They are the things you tell your friends, neighbors, parents, and siblings in moments of excitement. These are the events you photograph and record on video to share with others and remember for years to come.
