T.C. Williams Tops Washington-Lee for Soccer State Title

The high school soccer team took the top spot at the Virginia 6A Boys' championship Sunday.

A season-long rivalry between T.C. Williams and Washington-Lee culminated in a 2-0 victory for T.C. and the team's first championship title in the Virginia 6A state final Sunday.

Junior All-Met Eryk Williamson scored the first goal Sunday, one of 12 goals in his final six games of the season, the Washington Post reports.

Before this weekend’s big win, the team nabbed the 6A North region semifinals title Thursday (also against Washington-Lee) with a 5-2 victory, marking the Titans first regional title in 40 years.
