Nonprofit 'Give to the Max' Fundraiser Kicks Off Nov. 9
Fundraiser reaches out all across Northern Virginia, including two dozen Alexandria organizations.
Two dozen Alexandria nonprofits are participating in the region's first Give to the Max Day: Greater Washington.
For 24 hours starting on Nov. 9, Northern Virginians can unite to support their choice of approximately 800 area nonprofits.
About 200 nonprofits based in Virginia are participating with the goal to get people to go to give2max.org on Nov. 9 to donate and to help fundraise and spread the word about the charity of their choice.

The event also gives prizes to registered nonprofits that reap the most money on Nov. 9, such as $25,000 to the nonprofit that raises the most dollars.
The event was made possible by the Community Foundation, Razoo.com and the of the National Capital Area.
