Top of the Town Walk Around Set for Nov. 5

The walk, for people of all ages and abilities, is hosted by the mayor and Wounded Warriors.

Alexandria Mayor Bill Euille and the Partnership for a Healthier Alexandria are  hosting the Second Annual "Top of the Town Walk Around” at the George Washington Masonic Memorial on Saturday, Nov. 5.

The event, planned in collaboration with Quantico Belvoir Regional Business Alliance, will be hosted by the mayor and the Wounded Warriors. The free “Top of the Town Walk Around” is being held in honor of Veterans’ Day and all those who have served.

Registration opens at 9:30 a.m. and the kick-off walk begins at 10 a.m.

Activities for people of all ages and abilities continue through noon. Activities will include a stair climb, games on YMCA’s PhD moving playground, workouts with , an opportunity to meet with firefighters and to check out a fire truck, a potato sack race, cardio boxing with Fit2Be, and a chance to win raffle prizes.
