Food trucks in Del Ray? — Residents, business owners and members of the public are invited to attend and comment on the feasibility of food trucks in Del Ray at a meeting of the city’s Food Truck Advisory Group at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18 at City Hall (301 King St.). The group has been meeting this fall to discuss potential regulations for food trucks in an attempt to bring them to different sections of the city.

Eminent Domain Hearing — In an effort to close a longstanding conflict with the Old Dominion Boat Club, Alexandria Mayor Bill Euille and City Council will host a special public hearing at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19 at City Hall to discuss options for implementing the city’s waterfront plan in regards to the boat club’s parking lot and adjacent areas, including the use of eminent domain. The likely absence of a presentation from the boat club during Tuesday’s proceedings already has ODBC officials crying foul.
