Annual Alexandria Memorial Day Jazz Festival Set for Monday at Waterfront Park

Looking for some plans for Memorial Day?
Look no further than Alexandria's Waterfront Park, where you'll find jazz artists, food and beverages on Monday afternoon, for the 37th Annual Memorial Day Jazz Festival, sponsored by the City of Alexandria.
The event takes place Monday, May 26 from 1-6 p.m. at Waterfront Park, 1 Prince St., in Old Town Alexandria.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets or simply sit on the grass. Food, such as barbeque, fried chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, snow cones and funnel cakes will be for sale, but everyone is welcome to pack a picnic. Grilling, alcoholic beverages, smoking and pets are not allowed at the event.
The weather forecast for Sunday is for sunny skies, with a high of 78 degrees.

- The U.S. Army Blues: 1 p.m.
- Ocho de Bastos: 2 p.m.
- Earl Carter featuring Phillip Doc Martin (Smooth Jazz): 3 p.m.
- Blue Crescent Syncopators (Dixieland Jazz): 4 p.m.
- Seth Kibel & Bay Jazz Project (Straight Ahead and Swing): 5 p.m.
