Sunny Skies Forecast for Memorial Day Weekend in Northern Virginia

The weather for Memorial Day weekend across Northern Virginia promises to be sunny and clear, according to the National Weather Service.

If you were planning on hitting the pool, Sunday and Monday will be warmer than Saturday.

It appears to be picture-perfect weather throughout the holiday weekend for backyard barbecues, parades, festivals and traveling. The best part of the weather equation for the DC area: lower humidity.

Here's the breakdown:

  • Friday (today): Mostly sunny, high of 76 degrees
  • Saturday: Mostly sunny, high of 76 degrees
  • Sunday: Sunny, high of 82 degrees
  • Monday: Sunny, high of 84 degrees
On Tuesday, the Capital Weather Gang says to look for higher humidity with temperatures inching up into the high 80s to low 90s.
