This firehouse museum honors the Friendship Fire Company, the first volunteer fire company in Alexandria. It was founded in 1774. The first floor houses an engine room with hand-drawn fire engines, leather water buckets and other original tools and equipment. There is a meeting room on the second floor furnished as it appeared in the late 19th century.
