McGhee: Comments 'Not Meant as an Attack' on Gay People

Republican state Senate candidate accused of attacking gay people at forum hosted by Arlington Gay and Lesbian Alliance.

Republican state Senate candidate Tim McGhee is accused of attacking gay people in comments he made at a candidate forum hosted by the Arlington Gay and Lesbian Alliance in Arlington's Ballston neighborhood Tuesday night. The liberal Virginia politics blog Not Larry Sabato has audio transcript of McGhee’s closing statement from Tuesday’s forum. Donley Endorses Krupicka in State Senate Primary

Alexandria vice mayor and chair of the Alexandria Democratic Committee joint campaign offers late nod.

Alexandria Vice Mayor Kerry Donley offered his endorsement of Rob Krupicka on Thursday evening, less than a week before the Aug. 23 Democratic Primary for the 30th State Senate District. Krupicka, who serves on the Alexandria City Council with Donley, is running against Del.
