The new Old Town restaurant serves up a combination of Latin American and Caribbean dishes with an American twist
Old Town Alexandria restaurant Agua Viva, located at 808 King Street in what was formerly Cafe Salsa's space, recently opened its doors to patrons. Owner and chef Mike Cordero, a native Puerto Rican, describes the cuisine as "Miami Fusion" – a combination of Latin American and Caribbean dishes with an American twist. The restaurant has been redecorated in shades of blue to create a tropical ambiance. Cordero, a 30-year veteran of the restaurant industry, is also the owner of Caribbean Breeze, located in Arlington, and Primetime Sports Bar & Grille in Fairfax.
