Alexandria Police Youth Camp Holds Annual Christmas Tree Sale

Sale begins in Old Town on Nov. 28.

Looking for that perfect tree this holiday season? The Alexandria Police Youth Camp will hold its annual Christmas tree sale beginning Wednesday, Nov. 28. The sale is located at 110 Callahan Drive, directly across from the George Washington Masonic Memorial. The youth camp, which began in 1947, uses the event to raise funds and send underprivileged children to the APYC camp in Kilmarnock, Va. The tree sale is the group’s largest yearly fundraiser. Each year, the APYC brings in several hundred trees from West Virginia to Alexandria, and the sale has become a tradition for many local residents. Also, half of the purchase price is tax-deductible.
