To the Editor: As David Speck, a former member of the Alexandria City Council and Virginia House of Delegates, said in this space: "(W)hen a group of us came together to form Securing Alexandria’s Future, we were looking for candidates who had positive, strategic, long-term, big picture views of the city and were willing to make tough (i.e., occasionally unpopular) decisions about our city’s future." Hi Danny, Why are you trying to tell other people who they can and can't endorse? Also, watch the words you use, lest they come back to haunt you. I thought the Democratic party was name that because they were "democratic," i.e., inclusive and tolerant of the opinions and views of everyone, even if they don't necessarily match yours.   more ›
