Visions for Vacancies: 631 King St.

Sushi restaurant Bumblefish has closed shop and a new retail tenant is expected.

What would you like to see at 631 King St.? The space formerly housed sushi restaurant Bumblefish in this prime downtown corner spot at the intersection of King and Washington streets. City permits show Kamil Property Management of Lee Street in Old Town is making about $60,000 worth of alterations for an unnamed retail tenant. The contractor is Retail Construction Services based in Lake Elmo, Minn. The management company expects to have most permits cleared by mid-March. The spot is next to Nine West shoe store and a branch of Burke and Herbert bank. What sort of retailer would you like to see there?
