Krupicka: 'I Just Want to be Upfront'
Councilman talks State Senate bid
Rob Krupicka doesn’t want to be cagey. The Alexandria City Councilman and Del Ray resident wants to be open about everything he does. It’s for this reason that Krupicka announced on his blog Monday that he intends to run for Sen. Patsy Ticer’s seat when the veteran lawmaker wraps up her time in Richmond. “People have been talking about this race for a long time and I tend to like to be straight about things,” Krupicka said prior to Monday night’s Del Ray Citizens Association meeting at Mount Vernon Community School. “I announced earlier that I wasn’t going to run for Council [again]. … I just want to be upfront about it.” Ticer has yet to announce her plans for the future, but word is expected soon.
