Alexandria Museums Seek Docents
Gadsby's Tavern and the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum are hosting a docent training session Saturday.
Gadsby’s Tavern Museum and the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum are seeking volunteer docents to give tours to the public. Docents must undergo training and when that is complete, commit to a minimum of three hours per month. To make a reservation for a docent training class on Saturday, Jan. 12, submit an application through the Gadsby’s website or via the apothecary museum site. The apothecary is offering the training Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon and Gadsby’s from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Interested volunteers who can’t make the training session are encouraged to submit an application and arrange a private meeting. For more information, call 703-746-4242.
