Titans wide receiver Landon Moss will join the Coastal Carolina football team in the fall.
T.C. Williams High School senior Landon Moss is headed to Coastal Carolina University to play football. Moss, who is listed at 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds, signed his letter of intent with the Conway, S.C., school on Wednesday’s National Signing Day. “Officially a Coastal Carolina Chanticleer!!” Moss tweeted early Wednesday. The All-Patriot District receiver is one of 30 players in the Chanticleers’ 2013 recruiting class. “I think we’ve got a really, really good recruiting class,” Coastal Carolina football coach Joe Moglia said. “If a freshman is good enough to start, he will start. T.C. Williams finishes season with four straight victories, but playoffs unlikely.
When the T.C. Williams football team entered West Potomac's stadium Friday night, it brought a sledge hammer, metaphorically promising the Wolverines a smackdown. Although the Titans struggled to get on the offense in gear throughout the game, the Titans kept their promise and took home a 13-10 overtime win to finish their season with a four straight victories and a 5-5 overall record. West Potomac quarterback Caleb Williams scored on a 50-yard touchdown run late in the first half to give the Wolverines (6-4 overall, 4-3 Patriot District) a 7-0 lead. T.C. Williams earns second straight win.
The T.C. Williams High School football team topped Annandale 52-7 on Saturday for a big homecoming win at Parker-Gray Stadium, according to The Washington Post. Tailback Dealo Robertson led the Titans’ ground attack with 175 yards on 22 carries and two touchdowns. Quarterback Alec Grosser completed 15 of 22 passes for 214 yards and three touchdowns. Grosser also scored a rushing touchdown in the second quarter. Receiver Julius Cooper caught five passes for 106 yards, including scoring receptions of 21 and 25 yards. The T.C. Williams High School football team halted its five-game losing skid on Saturday with a 24-7 win over West Springfield at Parker-Gray Stadium, according to The Washington Post. Titans tailback Dealo Robertson rushed for 185 yards on 33 carries in the victory, including a 13-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Quarterback Alec Grosser connected with Terry Jordon on a 51-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter and a 4-yard pass to Julius Cooper in the third quarter. T.C. Williams falls to Woodson on the road.
The T.C. Williams football team fell to W.T. Woodson 28-21 on Saturday in Fairfax, according to The Washington Post. The loss was the fifth consecutive defeat for the Titans, who fell to 0-3 in the Patriot District and 1-5 overall. Dealo Robertson led the Titans with 164 yards on 24 carries and a touchdown. Quarterback Alec Grosser completed 21 of 36 passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns in the loss. Napolean Augustine rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries to lead the Cavaliers (1-5, 1-4 Patriot District) to their first win of the season. The T.C. Williams High School football team dropped its fourth straight game Friday night, falling 21-7 on the road to Lake Braddock in Burke, according to the Washington Post. Quarterback Alec Grosser scored the Titans’ lone touchdown on a 4-yard run in the second quarter. Grosser completed 13 of 31 passing attempts for 145 yards in the loss. The T.C. Williams High School football team fell to South County 60-28 on Saturday afternoon at Parker-Gray Stadium, according to The Washington Post. It was the third consecutive loss for the Titans (1-3). Dealo Robertson and Malik Carney each scored rushing touchdowns for T.C. Williams. Senior quarterback Alec Grosser threw two touchdown passes in the loss—a 6-yard completion to Landon Moss in the second quarter and a 54-yard toss to Julius Cooper in the third quarter. The T.C. Williams High School football team fell on the road to Robinson 40-21 on Friday night, according to The Washington Post. Tailback Joe Wilson scored six touchdowns for the Rams (1-2). Titans quarterback Alec Grosser threw three touchdown passes to receiver Landon Moss, connecting on tosses of 35, 16 and 5 yards, according to Twitter reports. The game was the home opener for Robinson and the first game played on the school's new synthetic turf field, according to Burke Patch. The T.C. Williams High School football team fell to Westfield 55-28 on Saturday at Parker-Gray Stadium, according to The Washington Post. Quarterback Chris Mullins and wide receiver Devon Burns connected on three touchdowns for the Bulldogs (2-0). Westfield tailbacks Tyler Thrasher-Walker and Dalaun Richardson rushed for 119 yards and 104 yards, respectively, with each one scoring a touchdown. T.C. Williams romps to 73-0 win over Wakefield.
The T.C. Williams High School football team got its season started with a bang on Thursday, blanking Wakefield 73-0 at Parker-Gray Stadium, according to The Washington Post. The Titans led 52-0 at halftime and by 73 after three quarters. The slaughter rule then went into effect and the clock was left running for the fourth quarter. Dennis Randolph returned to the sideline for the Titans after leaving the team four games into last season following a cancer diagnosis. The Titans coach is now cancer free.
