Old Town Pool Free for City Residents

Free admission continues until Sept. 21.

Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities is continuing to operate the Old Town Pool, located at 1609 Cameron St., through Saturday, Sept. 21.

Additionally, city residents began receiving free admission to the pool last week and, by all accounts, the extended operation has been a big hit.

Patch reader Carolyn Griglione sent Patch an email saying the pool was busy the entire week of Labor Day.

“Sunday, it was jam packed,” she wrote. “People were thrilled.  I had one lady say to me ‘this is the best thing this City has ever done.’  200+ must have come today.”
