Crime Report for Old Town Alexandria

Police in Old Town have been busy the past couple of weeks. Stolen wallets and jewels, change taken from vehicle consoles, stolen vehicles and more

The following information was provided to www.crimereports.com by the Alexandria Police Department. Additional details about the most recent crimes were not available by publication time.

May 8 – A theft was reported in the 1200 block of King Street.

May 8 – A breaking and entering incident was reported in the 1700 block of Prince Street.

May 8 – A theft was reported in the 600 block of North Payne Street.

May 7 – A theft was reported in the 300 block of North Alfred Street.

May 7 – An assault was reported in the 1000 block of Madison Street.

May 6 – A theft was reported in the 500 block of King Street.

May 6 – A theft was reported at Canal Place.

May 4 – Assault occurred between two or more people who were familiar with each other in the 1900 block of Ballenger Avenue at 2:18 p.m.

May 3 – A theft was reported in the 1200 block of Roundhouse Lane.

May 2 – A suspect approached the victim, brandished a weapon and demanded money in the 1300 block of Oronoco Street at 11:01 p.m. The suspect took the victim's wallet and fled. No injuries were reported.

May 1 – Personal property was stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Wythe Street at 11 a.m.

Apr. 30 – An unknown suspect used personal credit card information to make fraudulent purchases in the 700 block of North Washington Street at 6:54 p.m.

Apr. 30 – An unknown suspect used personal credit card information to make fraudulent purchases in the 1700 block of Duke Street at 7:27 p.m.

Apr. 30 – Unknown suspect smashed the passenger side door window of victim's vehicle and stole a purse that was laying on the floor on the passenger's side of the vehicle in the 200 block of Cameron Street at 10:13 p.m.

Apr. 30 – A wallet was stolen in the 200 block of North Patrick Street at 6:56 p.m.

Apr. 29 – Victim reported that an unknown suspect entered her place of business and stole her unattended wallet from her purse while she was returning keys to a client who was leaving the building in the 300 block of South Washington Street at 5:30 p.m.

Apr. 29 – An assault occurred between two or more people who had a prior relationship in the 900 block of Montgomery Street at 7:01 p.m.

Apr. 28 – An assault occurred between two or more people who had a prior relationship in the 300 block of Jamieson Avenue at 9:09 a.m.

Apr. 27 – An unknown suspect entered a building and stole a roll of stamps and coins in the 200 block of South Pitt Street at 8:17 a.m.

Apr. 27 – Unknown suspect stole a work-box and its contents from a work truck in the 600 block of North Royal Street at 7:29 p.m.

Apr. 27 – A vehicle that was stolen from Fairfax County was recovered in the 1400 block of Jamieson Avenue at 8:53 p.m.

Apr. 26 – Change was stolen from the console of a locked vehicle in the 800 block of South Fairfax Street at 8:40 a.m.

Apr. 26 – A wallet was stolen from an unattended purse at a restaurant in the 700 block of King Street at 10:19 a.m.

Apr. 26 – A cell phone left unattended on a seat on a bus was stolen in the 1900 block of King Street at 10:53 a.m.

Apr. 26 – A vehicle was ransacked and coins were stolen from a vehicle in the 900 block of South St. Asaph Street at 11:13 a.m.

Apr. 26 – A gold diamond engagement and wedding ring, a pearl necklace, and diamond earrings were reported stolen from a dresser in the master bedroom of a residence in the 600 block of South Fairfax Street at 3:09 p.m.

Apr. 26 – A locked vehicle parked on the street was stolen in the 500 block of Green Street at 7:05 p.m.

Apr. 25 – Change was stolen from the console of an unlocked vehicle in the 600 block of South Lee Street at 9:44 a.m.

Apr. 25 – An assault involving two or more people with a prior relationship or who were known to each other was reported at King and Princess streets at 11:07 a.m.

Apr. 25 – Theft by an employee was reported in the 100 block of South St. Asaph Street at 12:32 p.m.

Apr. 25 – An assault involving two or more people with a prior relationship was reported in the 900 block of Madison Street at 4:31 p.m.

Apr. 25 – An assault involving two or more people with a prior relationship was reported in the 1300 block of King Street at 5:25 p.m.

Apr. 25 – Two flower urns were reported stolen from the front porch of a residence in the 700 block of King Street at 5:26 p.m.
